Gautam Adani, owner of the Adani Group of companies has surpassed Mukesh Ambani and has become India's and Asia's richest person. This is based on the Group market cap according to experts. According to experts, the stock of Adani's companies has skyrocketed including companies like Adani Total Gas, Adani Ports and Adani Green. Gautam Adani has added $55 billion to his fortunes on a year-to-date basis compared with Mukesh Ambani's $14.3 billion. Meanwhile, Reliance's stocks have trailed with some showing in the red over the past few days. There has always been a close rivalry between the two billionaires for the spot of Asia's richest person.
